  • Why people RETEST and fail the ASVAB after they had scored high the first time?

First of all excuse my grammar since English is not my first language. I took the ASVAB and passed it the first time but still did not scored high enough for Medic Specialist or Linguistics so I retested and failed the test with a score 14. I retested for the 3rd time after being tutored and studying hard for 4 months and failed again with a score of 23. I find it so hard to believe I failed it since I am good at arithmetics, general science and word knowledge and to be honest I found the test super easy. I studied for 4 months with the ASVAB for Dummies, Kaplan study guide and the Aron flash cards.

Everyone I know who passed the ASVAB but retested to be able to chose a specific MOS failed miserably. I met a kid who scored 65 and retested and got a 16 and another one who got a 7. I just cannot comprehend how can someone failed a 3 hour test with such low scores after passing the first time with high scores?

Does MEPS failed people who retested after passing because they consider that cheating? Can someone give me a advice or tell me if you've had been in this situation? Did you finally passed?

    Thanks

  • Why people score high in the ASVAB and then retest to score higher for a specific MOS and end up failing?

Please noticed English is not my first language, so I apologized for my grammar.....

I took the ASVAB and passed, but my scores weren't high enough for the MOS I wanted (medic specialist and cryptology). I took it again and I scored a 14 and I was shocked because I did study really hard. The third time I took it I scored 23 and I was more shocked because I had spent 4 months studying plus I got a tutor. I took tests online that simulate the asvab and I did good and I did super good in all of my tutor practice tests. Everyone I've met who passed the ASVAB and took it again 2 and 3 times to score higher for a specific MOS NEVER again passed the test.

I've met people who scored 50 and above the first time and then retested and scored a 7!! I just cant believe someone can possibly score that low in a 3 hour test after they had score high the first time.

I bought the asvab flash cards, the asvab for dummies and the kaplan study guide and studied them for months.

Does someone knows if MEPS makes the people who took the ASVAB again after they had passed fail the test? I am just wondering since I studied so hard plus I am good at word knowledge, general science and arithmetics.

Can someone explain me why does this happen and if it has happened to you? Did you finally passed?

Is this happening because MEPS considers it cheating because we shouldn't retest to score higher for a specific MOS?

    Thanks!!

  • Root Canals Hurts? Should I Ask For A Specific Anesthesia?

I am having a root canal, I changed from my Dentist to a Endodontic since I heard horror stories. I also did my researched and I found that for painless root canals they need to put you the local anesthesia plus one through your vein or the "happy gas". My Endodontic is only going to use the one they use for fillings and he says it won't hurt. The problem is I had have deep fillings before and I could feel pain because it was close to the nerve, so my question is, how can I be sure that with that same anesthesia (a little more stronger) I won't feel pain at all???

Should I ask him to use another anesthesia or what?

    Thanks..

  • Is the anesthesia used to fix cavities the same to do root canals? PLEASE HELP..?

I've heard root canals are painful, other people say that once they put the anesthesia you wont feel it....but the thing is that the anesthesia the dentists use to fix my cavities and put the filling rarely works...I always feel the pain. So I was wondering if they are the same anesthesia?

    THANKS....

  • Root Canals and Dental Insurance, please help!?

Does someone knows if root canals hurts? People say that even with anesthesia hurts. Can I ask the dentist for more anesthesia if I can't handle the pain or it is not a matter of anesthesia when they are killing the nerve? Also, if it's an emergency and I don't have the money can they perform the job anyways or they don't care? My dental insurance won't be effective till next month. Is it possible to ask them if they can perform the job and then next month charge it to the insurance?

    Thanks...

  • Does the Airforce really checks your credit???? Also, can too many root canals can get you disqualified?

The Airforce is to be said the most strict one since it's crowded and they look for anything to disqualified you. Recruiter asks if you have negatives in your credits and says they will do a credit check to see if it's true. Also, I've heard of people who got disqualified for dental issues. Can someone get disqualified for having too many root canals, cavities, tooth implant or crowns??? I'll be needing like 5 root canals for cavities I didn't took care of 10 years ago and got worst....

I am worried that might disqualified me once I get to MEPS.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks.....

  • ARMY,AIRFORCE OR NAVY FOR A MARRIED PERSON?

Who gets more deployments? I am having a hard time deciding which one to join for several things. I am considering the Airforce, Army and Navy but I have found pros and cons for the three of them. The Airforce takes care of its people but I wouldn't like to be sitting most of my career on a desk....The Army you are guarantee to work in the job you signed up for but they do long deployments...The Navy is my favorite but I am not guaranteed to work in the job I signed up for plus many sailors have said that the Navy is not for someone who has a family.

Just so that you guys know if it's a bit of a help I am interested in a Linguistic and Photography careers with the military...

I would like to hear from you guys more pros and cons for each branch that could help me decide better which one is better for me.

    Thanks!!

She says she is not being lazy, depressed or procrastinating but that no matter how much she sleeps she feels tired all the time and she cannot read a sentence without suddenly getting tired and sleepy. Should she go to a Doctor?

  • Woman hair in the Military....HELP?

I have heard that womens have to have their hair cut off in the military, specially in the Navy because you dont have time to manage your long hair in boot camp. The thing is if you have corse, curly frizz hair it's worst to have it short because the more short the more difficult to manage the hair (since they say it has to look professional). I was wondering if they are allowed to wear a bun or they have to cut it off anyways.

If it's not because of the time you don't have for your hair then what is the real reason?

    Thanks
