When Minecraft is updated, it can take a while for developers to rewrite the mod. Mods like TooManyItems usually take a day or two, but more complicated mods like the Aether mod can take upwards of a week. However, I'm a little confused as a 1.2.6 update has not yet been released. Tell your grandson go to the main menu and have him look at the bottom left corner, it should say 1.2.5.

Edit: Just follow Zack's instructions to get them back.

    For Toomanyitems:

    1. Download the Toomanyitems mod

    2. Open your start menu and type %appdata%

    3. Open the .minecraft folder

    4. Open the folder called "bin"

    5. Open "minecraft.jar" with a compression application (WinZip, 7ZIP, WinRAR, etc)

    6. Delete the folder titled "META-INF"

    7. Open the Toomanyitems mod using the same compression application

    8. Highlight all files in the Toomanyitems mod and drag and drop them into the Minecraft.jar file

    9. Enjoy!

    For the Aether mod:

*You will need to install ModLoader, AudioMod, and PlayerAPI for this! Use the same strategy as you did for installing the Toomanyitems mod. The process is the same.*

Best of luck to you :)
