Why didn't god just resurrect 2 of every animal after the flood instead of asking Noah to stuff the boat?

Because that would make sense.
Tell me one thing he did that made sense.

Humans have to believe there is some sort of a beginning of time. It is rather difficult to visualize absolute nothingness, so tribal societies sometimes end up making up legends about some sort of beginning. A flood seems to be a rather common one, it is also found in South American native tribes as well. It was simply a way for parents to tell their kids in primitive societies how the world began, not having any knowledge of science. If God resurrected every animal, well, that's just not the kind of story that a primitive society would make up...

Because God wanted to present a PROTOTYPE of The Rapture. As you may know, a PROTOTYPE is an early representation of an idea yet to be fully developed. A PROTOTYPE may be fully, partially or non working.
In this case. Noah (a man), built a boat and carried away all the animals that acted on God's call to be saved, and went into the ark of their own free will, where they were protected from death and God's wrath and destruction, taking them to a new land cleansed, washed clean, of the sun that was present before.
In the future, Jesus will build a religion, and use it to take all humans who answer God;s Call to be saved of their own free will, taking them away, still alive, from God's wrath and destruction that will [this time] completely destroy the earth. People thus taken away will be repopulated on a NEW Earth, built just like the old earth, but perfect in every way -- HEAVEN.
Noah saving the animals on the ark is the prototype of Jesus saving the Christians from the End of Days.

Or just make new animals, he had enough dirt and water. Or just send the angel of death to kill all the people he didn't like, as in the Exodus story.
It's almost as if the Noah deluge story is a poorly adapted monotheistic version of a polytheistic myth (which actually makes narrative sense with more than one god) from Assyrobabylonian mythology.

Because the story of Noah isn't true. If only 2 of every species boarded, and they reproduced, their offspring would have to reproduce with each other, causing the 3rd generation to have horrible defects. And they would die very quickly. If all the animals died, then all the people would die too from horrible defects from having sex with there sister or 1st cousin. Therefore, the bible is a lie.

Excellent point! Have never thought of that. Or he could have just popped them up on a cloud couldn't he? Clouds used to be able to be sat on in biblical times, apparently. Save Noah trying to collect millions of species of ant and having to stick all those lice down his pants and tapeworms etc up his bum. Maybe God does have a sense of humour after all.

Or just say, "Except for a mating pair of every species, let them all die!" And they were all dead, except for one mating pair. And God saw that this was good.
Or, what about he carnivores? What did they eat, not only on the boat but after wards? They would have all gone extinct for lack of food.

Because he enjoyed watching an old man being forced to travel the word and capture animals with just him and his three sons (I assume he couldn't get anyone else to help otherwise they'd know God was planning to kill them).

xD Haha! That's a really good point, actually. :P
Uh. Well, maybe he was tired? :o Or likes to make slaves outta old men...
Who knows? Maybe God will speak to you.

I don't know. You could ask Him.
Maybe He wanted the story to go a certain way.
