The video games are standard DS video games, although they may be able to be played on 3DS as well. They actually have a 3DS Dream Radar sport in order to be purchasable for the eShop on 3DS, so there will be an additional addition for 3DS users to get the brand new types of Landrous, Thundurous and Tornadus. As opposed to that, it can be like what the others above me stated; it's a DS recreation and will also be performed on the fashioned DS and DSLite. I have a DSLite and my replica works simply first-rate. You'll need one more DS if you want to migrate your Gen 4 Pokemon over to Gen V, however. Probably you received burdened with that? Anyway, hope you get the game when it is out in the us.

Yes, they're going to be playable in any DS console...the only disadvantage is that there are some features that are only available for 3DS and DSi like the Pokemon Dream Radar which allows you to catch Thundurus, Tornadus, and Landorus sacred beast forms...this won't be available for DS and DS Lite since you need the camera to use it
