how to know if the web cam is going out?
i installed a web cam and i see me on the screen but how do i know if it is going out so others can see me to? how can i tell if others have web cams for me to view them. i want to set it up so when i chat with my kids and friends we can see each other on the screen and hear each other to avoid typing. thanks for the help

To work this out you would have to do a video chat with someone and ask if they
can see you.If the other person has a camera switched on you should see them as
well.Test it out with someone and see what works and what doesn't.
