what is this bike park called?
I just broke this part on the Cannondale F4 I think its like 2 years old. The part that broke is this little pice that connects the rear derailleur gear shifter thing to the hub...? I think its meant to be the weak part, so its nothing else broke. so where do i get another one? how expensive? thanks a ton guys!

I also think that you are referring to the hanger. It breaks so the derailleur does not. There are hundreds of different ones so you should go to a Cannondale dealer or at least to the LBS.
Or if you are a DIYS kind of guy you may be able to find it here.

You need to describe that better...
The shifter for the rear derailleur doesn't connect to the hub at all...
If you mean the rear derailleur (not the shifter but the actual derailleur itself) then that's called the derailleur hanger and it connects to the frame, not the hub.
The shifter only connects to the handlebar.... it is nowhere near the hub at all....
hangers are really cheap, 10-20 bucks tops. Just go to a bike shop and they'll help you out.
Actually just go there now because you have NO idea what part you broke.

They are called a derailleur hanger. Go to the Cannondale bike shop and get a new one $20.
