Has anyone else had an answer disappear from Yahoo! Answers?
I've had this happen twice now. I've answered a question, it's in my list of questions I've answered, but when it goes to voting...my answer is gone.
And I know that it is not a case of it being pulled for being reported as I know that Yahoo! Answers sends an automatically generated e-mail to me stating that it was pulled...blah, blah, blah, contact Y!A...
And I can't imagine that someone would have reported my answer stating that taking one's CD's and liner notes and putting them into a CD Case to save on space would be against the Community Guidelines.
So is anyone else seeing this?
Nope...doing this on a desktop. Windows 7 PC running Chrome as the browser. Same setup as my brother in fact and he's never seen it happen to him.
The problem with that theory is that when my brother has had his answers removed, the question itself was removed from his list of questions answered.
These two were still in my list as questions I had answered. Just with no mention of my answer nor any email regarding the system pulling it.

This MAY have happened to me, but people used to frequently FALSELY report my answers so they would removed just long enough that when the question went into voting, my answer would not be there to be voted even if it was restored later on. Trolls don't need a legitimate reason to falsely report an answer form some one they hate or despise. who usually gives good accurate answers. How can you be SURE that your answer was not reported. Just because you didn't get a violation notice email does not mean that it was not reported, There could be a glitch or delay in the violation notice email being sent out. Yahoo's computer security has a number of Holes in it. There are some very smart trolls who know how to either poke their own holes into the system or exploit the holes that are already there. I've emailed Yahoo abuse teams several times when trolls have tried to put Trojan horse files or viruses on my hard drive, because they had to use Yahoo server's to put the malware on my hard drive.

If you are on a phone, this is a known glitch. You have to switch to a desktop mode to see all the answers.

i have had that ensue to convey questions; i do not keep in mind all of those I answer (or maximum, without reminding). i assume the questions were deleted by skill of the poster. notwithstanding if someone has voted "no ideal answer" or reported the question into submission, your answer flies away to heaven and not using a hint.
