Please take a look at my photos?? :)?

I only started to do photography properly at the start of the year and these are some of my shoots, I know some of them aren't so good -too slow shutter speed, and over processing- but if anyone could have a look and leave a comment/constructive critisism, if there is any way to improve the problems when taking my next shots. Please be honest so I can decide if it's worth pursuing this.

thank you very much in advance :)

Well, like you said there are some issues here:

Focus: some are blurry, some are focused on the background; Try to focus on the person's eye.

Exposure: There are a lot of underexposed pictures here. Use a wider aperture to get more light (and blur the background). You should also use a fill-flash to get the shadows around the eyes (don't use it at full power though!).

Editing: Like you said, there is a lot of over-processing and poor use of selective coloring. Backgrounds: Some are two busy/distracting. They really take a way from the subject of your photo!

Lens: Most of your pictures are shot at a wide angle. This causes barrel distortion which is very unflattering for people pictures (if it was a headshot, it would make their nose look huge!). I would recommend shooting at nothing less then 50mm for most people shots.

Composition: Try using the rule of thirds...

As far as pursing photography, it's up to you. Do you like taking pictures? Are you willing to practice so that you get better and rise above the rest in an already saturated field?

You hit the nail on the head - "over processing". And composition is non-existent. Learn about compostition - it's you most obvious failing.

To be honest with you, closeup pictures of parts of cars do nothing for me.

As for the photos with cut-off heads - I think you probably know what we think of those.

I think they are great! But also, I think you should be the one to decide to pursue this or not. If you are happy doing this, don't let anyone try to tell you other wise :)
