Hershey Park's Skyrush?
Has anyone ridden the new roller coaster in Hershey Park, PA called Skyrush? I have heard bad reviews on the line wait, the station, and especially the lap bars. Can anyone confirm or oppose these stories? Does anyone know of ways to lessen the pain in your thighs during the ride? Thank you in advance.

Just rode this yesterday and it was a great ride, one of my favorites. Just like any other ride there is a wait but not as bad as you might think. We did wait until around 1 to attempt to get in line but it wasn't terribly long at all. Four of our friends decided they wanted to ride front seat on the first go, if you do this there WILL be a long wait. While our friends waited for the front seats the rest of us were able to ride the ride three times before they even rode it once. As to the lap bars they start out maybe touching your legs and by the end of the ride it is very tight however you really only feel uncomfortable while you're waiting for the other cart to take off. The tightness I think also depends on how much you push down on the bar while in motion and it is probably impossible not to since it is the only thing to hold onto. I think the lap bar could use some modifications but in my opinion the ride was worth it, even the discomfort and I enjoyed it very much.

Syrush is one word: AMAZING! I rode it in the morning and waiting an hour and a half. My friends told me they rode it at 5 o'clock and only had a 15 min. wait. All rides are pretty much like that at Hershey park though. Most people complain about the pain in your thighs from the lap bar. I, personally, didn't it find it to be that bad. When I first got on, I really didn't have time to think about pain because I was so nervous! Once you get off and walk a few steps the pain wears off, though. So that's nothing to worry about. Skyrush is truly an awesome experience... You'll love it!

In the morning the wait was 1.5 hours. We skipped it and rode later in the day with a 45 min wait. The lap bars were horrible. After the ride was over, everyone was complaining about how much they hurt. My daughter was crying because because it pinched her legs so much. We will never ride it again unless they fix the lap bar issue.
