Ok so the Humane society wants about 1000. to fix a male and female dog?
So I can't afford that, any other places that you know of? I live in the dfw area of Texas.
Sorry, I failed to mention, the dogs belong to my son. He was a truck driver and the now ex was supposed to keep the dogs shots up. Well, come to find out, guess she used the money for other things, cause I checked to get the records, which would be registered by dog tag, none...She likes purses! So the dogs need all their shots too, coming from another state w/o any records.

Go to the yahoo search engine. Type in low cost spay/neuter programs and type in your area. There should be stuff pop up you can check out.

That sound high for a spat and neuter. I would call the local vets they maybe cheaper and most places have a spay neuter service that is mobile. This is not the safest but usually the cheapest. You will get back a animal still doppy a couple hours post surgery. That is why it is not as safe as a vet the keeps them over night. If the dogs are large I would expect 400 for both surgery together good luck

You need to look into that number, because it is very false. I worked for a vet that was over priced but 2 animals that needed a spay and neuter never went over $500. That is ridiculous. Google places in DFW area. Call your local shelters and see where they take the animals. They normally know the very cheapest because of the amount of animals they have come in and out.

Something's WRONG with that number.
It's about $150 to spay a female and about $60-$85 to neuter a male at almost all Vet offices I know.
You'd be better off taking your dogs to the Vet to get them neutered/spayed.
$1,000 for a spay and neuter. Ridiculous.

I have a saint bernard and to get her fixed is only 115. And i have a collie i got him fixed it was only 90. I would call around different vets even if you have to go to the next county over.
