Mamie for a baby girl?

Pronounced May-Mee?

I think it's cute but I don't know if it would age well. I also don't know if it would be better as a nickname for something, like Madelyn or... I don't know.

Any opinions or ideas on what Mamie would be short for / if it is ok to stand alone? What about a middle name?

I love that name, and it's one of my best friends' names :) It's very vintage and very adorable! It sounds good alone in my opinion, but it could also be a nickname for Margaret or Mary.

    ---- Middle name suggestions ----

    • Mamie Elizabeth

    • Mamie Catherine

    • Mamie Louise

    • Mamie Grace

    • Mamie Eleanor

    • Mamie Violet

    • Mamie Josephine

ooh i'm sorry but I don't like it, its a bit strange. It'll probably be shortened down to May anyway which is cute. Madeline is nicce. If you chose Mamie then I think you need a short middle name like Mamie Sue, Mamie Ann, etc x

Sorry but it sounds like your refering to a grandma or a nannie. I think she may get teased in school for this one. I'm sure that it will probably be mispronounced.
