Which car is the better buy?

Two very different cars but I like both,

1976 Mercedes 300D

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/3086299079.h...

1983 Mazda RX7

http://salem.craigslist.org/cto/3006697992.html

The Mercedes is more expensive, and i'd want to put European bumpers on it making it that much more pricey but it's closer to home and will be more reliable and get better mpg. I also hate the color.

The RX7 is nice and cheaper, it'd be fun to autocross it.. but its a riskier buy.

What car do you think I should get? Im gonna get one this weekend

The RX7 is super cool. Don't wreck it. That is a classic car. I also seriously doubt you will get better mpg in that behemoth. Great color combo too.

Since you are determined to get one or the other. However, the point about the rotary engine always needing attention may be true.

And Ricky you are a douche bag. Both cars are in a certain price range. That POS cruze is being recalled for engine fires. Probably costs about 15k too.

Im gonna go ahed and say the RX7 because it looks a lot more fun but if you are looking for something a little more paractical find a different car they are both a little odd but as you said the RX7 is a better buy

don't get the rx7, too much maintenance for it. the rotary engines are not good for daily driving. not sure about the mercedes.
