I am pro choice. I don't have a zero tolerance on anti-poverty programs, but I believe that such programs must be small in size and scope and hard to defraud. None of those things is true today. These program are enormous and politicians are continuously expanding access, and are trivially easy to defraud.

Everyone that uses the phrase "my tax dollars" bought a $500 toilet for the pentagon and all the other useless crap.
But seriously ... stop pretending you own the entirety of the US budget. For every one of you greedy bastards that don't want to help the poor... there is another taxpayer that does... most of those people didn't approve of the massive amount we have spent on wars.... including the war on drugs ... but again... so what they don't own the entirety of the US budget either.

My tax dollars do go to feeding the poor. They also go to things like bailing out the UAW because GM was "too big to fail". I'm not so happy about that.

I'm fine with my charity dollars going to feed the poor but I don't want my tax dollars doing any more than the bare minimum necessary to fund government.
