Gixxer 750 first bike?

Im thinking about getting a Suzuki GSXR 750 for my first bike. I have very little experience and its mostly from a training course i did, im getting a very good deal w 2007 model. I kno it might be too much to handle but im 6'3 280lbs and i need a bike with more power and stuff. My cousin thinks i should be ok if i act mature enough. Im 17 and a half. My cousin has a Ducati 1198. Any thoughts? I dnt like the sv650 very much. Maybe a 2007 R6?

Hope you have good life insurance. Maturity means nothing, it isn't a suitable learner bike and you will be heading for a fall in a corner at speed. They are deceptively fast and you won't know your speed till it is too late...
