Why is WWE producing so many "comic relief" gimmick wrestlers?

WWE does this because much of the WWE's fanbase today are kids and women. WWE tries to entertain the kids and women by having comedy gimmicks that they think they will like. The wrestlers that you listed are liked very much by the kid fanbase because they play a comedian type gimmick. Those wrestlers are not to popular with the adult men because they hate these types of characters (myself included). It's nice to see a little laughter but these guys you can't take seriously. Santino is the US Champion and he doesn't deserve it because he's made to look like a joke. Hornswoggle is meant to be a leprechaun, which is the dumbest gimmick ever. The Great Khali used to be very violent, now he's a joke who dances. R-Truth was entertaining when he started out as a heel, but now he's to much into the whole "Little Jimmy" stuff. Zack Ryder is too kiddy with the whole "Woo Woo Woo" stuff, so how can you take him seriously. Natalya is very talented but the farting gimmick that she had, was very disgraceful to the wrestling talent that she has, as she is one of the best divas that the WWE has now. The whole PG concept causes WWE to give us terrible characters with terrible gimmicks, that just tries to entertain kids 7 and younger who think guys like Santino are entertaining and thinks that he actually deserves to be US Champion. There used to be guys who made the audience laugh but could be taken seriously as well. You had guys like Mick Foley, The Rock, etc. You didn't see a cobra on their hand, or them dancing around, but they still brought comedy, but they had an edge to them as well that allows you to know that they mean business when they get into the ring.

why does it look like some of the writers came from Nickelodeon.....its like they worked on "All That" , "The Amanda Show" and "Kenan & Kel" series....

I mean come on doesn't Vince McMahon have more important thing to do other than ruin Raw with his own form of comedy like I don't know getting the WWE Network on the air. I'm starting to think the reason why it isn't picked up is because it is nothing but lame reality series like Stone Cold Steve Austin doing redneck survivor and legends house and doesn't show what the people want.....which would be nothing but repeats of wrestling from AWA, WCCW, WCW, WWF, Mid-South, Florida, Georgia, Memphis, Portland, Central States, etc.

some wrestlers do stay their gimmick in actual existence. Ric flair is a intense residing womanizer, James hurricane is a lager ingesting redneck, HBK is a clean residing humorous Christian family contributors guy (he replaced into additionally like the arogant prick he used to play earlier he replaced). most of the fewer outlandish gimmicks are like actual people. some would be strange like if Hornswoggle continually acted like a speechless leprechaun or Paul Bearer continually talked in his strange hi pitched voice. The maximum unearthly component i'd desire to think of is that if Mr A$s Billy Gunn in basic terms had his residing house complete of artwork of butts and each little thing replaced into formed like butts like the toddler have been given back video. BQ: suitable is Undertaker, worst is Hornswoggle.

That's what Vince McMahon wants. He's been doing this for 3 decades, you shouldn't be surprised now. He's always had Comic Relief Wresters and Wrestlers with stupid gimmicks.

PG television and their attempt to entertain the kids. I doubt we'll be seeing anymore of them after WWE goes back to TV-14.

To try and entertain the fans, that's all WWE tries to do.

Their main target audience right now are the kids.
