Theists, what is your proof for creationism?
Most creationists try to debunk evolution- like as though creationism would then be true by default.
Lets assume evolution was unheard of.
Would that mean creationism is automatically true without you having to prove it?
@John Farnham. I apologise.
@Q&A Queen. I'm waiting...
@anthony h. I highly doubt you even know what evolution is. I know for certain that evolution is fact, so you cannot tell me that it isn't.
@Hal Roach. I never implied that the question was directed towards ALL theists.
The fact that many of you are focused on me directing the question towards theists rather than creationists (which I should've done) thereby avoiding the actual question, is interesting.

Your question is devoid of any understanding of either science or THE BIBLE. In ignorance does one ask an theist anything. They believe in talking snakes and higher education from eating an fruit. They and yourself are unaware the BIBLE teaches evolution through natural selection. This thousands of years before darwin was even born. I am Christian and the only man to walk the earth whom solved the riddle of creation. Evolutionists and creationists cling to only part truth which makes them fully ignorant. Whats really bazaar is you and everyone else have been duped by them both. Your lost and can't be found. This as while being lost you hide from one who seeks to find you. I was going to ask "Why do you assume all theists are creationists?", but I see that's already been covered.
Anyway, it seems that all creationist arguments come down to either "I don't understand how this thing came into existence, therefore somebody created it" or "Here's a flaw in evolution that I copied from a creationism website, therefore evolution is wrong which means creationism is true by default". Obviously, both of these are logically flawed. Then you have NoChanceWithoutJesus who just falls back on circular logic, by calling anything that exists a "creation". (What's even sadder is that he's HAD evolution explained to him dozens of times.)

There are a whole load of us who regard evolution as true you realise. Many Muslims are creationist and a few fundamentalist Christians in the States who don't understand the Bible, but the rest of us are not that stupid, to be frank. The Catholic Church accepts evolution and that's something like two billion people.

Most theists actually accept evolution just fine, because creationism is ridiculous and unsupported by any evidence.
Flat out- there isn't a shred of evidence for creationism. They rely on arguments from ignorance (I don't understand it/it's complex, therefore god), sad attempts to debunk evolution (which still provides no evidence for creationism), or the absolute worst argument EVER- "look around".

To be honest, there isn't any proof. But proof is an elusive thing that is normally reserved to mathematics. I personally believe that there is evidence for Creation, but that evidence consists heavily of supposition. I realize that my opinions are far from qualifying as scientific. I just simply feel like the universe was constructed by a grand architect. It's a lovely cosmos.

A painting has a painter.
A building has a builder.
All of creation has a Creator.
The universe clearly shows precision, design and order. The only thing that comes from an explosion ("big bang") is chaos and disorder. We are not the product of astronomical random chance.

That's basically what creationists thought prior to the formulation of the theory of evolution (predicting the existence of genes).
They didn't think they needed any proof for creationism back then either (and resorted to torturing/killing anyone who dared question it).

THe thing that amazes me is not so much that some people believe it, but that they can spell well enough to attempt to defend teh indefensible proposition that the world was created 6000 years ago when it plainly isnt so

The only real answer is science. The bible was written by common people. You're going to trust that a commoner spoke with god and obtained every bit of Christianity just like that? I bet you believe a knight climes up a girls hair to rescue her til.

There isn't, really. People argue that the world is complex, but that's subjective opinion and doesn't really count.
Also, Scooterpoop, how do you know God exists?
Source(s): Evidence for evolution: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence_of_common_de... http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Common_descent And this website has a huge archive of evidence for evolution: http://www.talkorigins.org/ @anthony h While evolution may currently have some gaps in the theory, I'm afraid to say it has a lot more evidence then Creationism and is generally seen by the scientific community to be factual. You're welcome to believe what you want, but please don't lie to make your perspective seem true. Thank you. :)
