Things to never say to a French person?

What is something that you would get into a lot of trouble for saying to a French person? Not vulgar or hateful, but just something that an ignorant person would say that would accidently offend them. It's for a story that I'm writing for school.

    a. Why do French people hate Americans? ( That's ignorant to me)

    b. May I have some Ketchup to put on my Escargots? ( An insult to the Chef)

I get offended when people talk about dental issues in France, insult our cheese, talk about how it's annoying that we sniff our food before we eat it (People have told me that before XD ) or say that the French are "easy".

"Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?" :-)

Seriously, I can't think of anything. There's aren't a lot of social taboos, apart from obvious ones (which you mentioned), in France.

"Can I have a to go box?" or anything like this because it is offensive to the chef. in france you are to finish your food at the restaurant, which is why they have small portions.
