Police Pension and Disability payment for children?
Does a police officer lose his pension if he is convicted of a crime and if he has children that get disability based on his pension, will those children be left w/o financial support?

Once a pension is awarded, it is paid.
If he is convicted the pension while in prison will cease to them since they are now a ward of the state, the children and wife will get the pension for support until released.
some states also take portion of the pension to pay for their incarceration.
If the crime took place before retiring hen a pension could be forfeited.
