14 yearold bed room redecoration help pleasse?
Alright so im 14 and my mom is allowing me to redo my bed room this summer for my 8th grade graduation. The colors I have chosen are 3 Walls a light smoky grey, and 1 a darkish Purple colour. I have a fairly small room, its a square and each wall is about 3.2 meters. When you walk in you face the wall with the window that is centered in the wall and takes up about 3/4 of the wall. My closet is on the same wall as the door and it about 2 meters wide. My bed is along the empty wall farthest from the door. the head of the bed is against the window wall. Also on the window wall i have a small book shelf that sits centered under the window, its shorter than the bottom of the window though. On the last wall i have my desk and plastic drawers. they are right nest to each other and take up about 2.5 meters. The Drawers are also against the window wall. MY dresser is in the closet because i kind of ran out of room. I have very little organization, all my bathroom stuff is in my drawers by my desk and on my desk so i have no room for school work. Basically i want better organization, and how to balance my room between like bathroom items and school work areas, ideas for rearranging my furniture and deco rational ideas. Pictures would be greatly appreciated and ideas for things to buy. The only thing is i cant a new like desk or anything like that but i can spend around 250$ on whatever i need like storage bins and picture frames. I also need to find a new bed spreed so if anyone knows of a grey/black/white/dark purple bed spread can you send me a link? Thank you so much in advance :)
i already have my colours picked out.. i wanted decor ideas and that sort of thing..

As for rearranging your room, about the only thing I could suggest would be to measure your space and plot out your room on graph paper. Also measure all of your furniture items like bed, desk, dresser etc and cut the shapes that represent them out of colored paper, using the same scale as for the room grid. When you are measuring everything, mark the placement of doors, windows and your closet on the grid and indicate the sweep of the doors (the space they use to open/close so that you don't inadvertently block them) and whether they open inward or outward. Once you have all of that on your grid, move your furniture shapes around until you find a placement that works. I learned a long time ago that, when it comes to moving furniture, it is easier to move it around and around on the paper first then to get halfway through moving the actual pieces only to discover that it's not going to work. It's less aggravation all around - especially for the folks doing the heavy lifting!
As for organization, look to baskets, bins and things to help keep your like items together, For example, keep all of your toiletries/bathroom items that you use daily in a basket that you can carry to and from the bathroom with you. If an actual basket work work for that purpose, then check out stores like Home Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond and such when the back to school sales start in the next month or so because they always have stuff like that for dorm dwellers. With regards to picture frames, check out your local dollar stores as they will often have a variety of sizes and styles. Don't worry if you can't get all in the same finish - That's what spray paint is for!
I know that this did not address all of your questions, and I apologize for that up front, but Y!Answers only allows so many links. Other good sources of inspiration for storage and decor include Ikea's web-site as well as the one for Pier 1 Imports.
Good luck with your re-do and I hope it turns out fantastic!

How about the purple that Yahoo! is spelled with? I like purple... Try that and black, and if not black, try the green that's on this site. So, Yahoo! purple and the Yahoo! green. ^_^
