Is it safe to eat unopened expired beef jerky?

The package has not been opened and it expired 11/08/11. I don't see any mold and the jerky itself looks completely normal. Thanks!

    It's safe, the expiration date is nothing more than a very conservative guess.

    Commercially manufactured beef jerky is made with crazy amounts of preservatives. You'll be fine
