When will I get sent to air assault school?
I just graduated from 2nd platoon, bravo company, 2/58 today. And I got assigned to ft. Campbell. I just wanna know will they send me right away or how does it work? Right now I'm on leave and I'm just wondering what's gonna happen to me when I get to my unit.

It depends on the unit's schedule. I worked with 3/101 in Iraq 2007-2008. There were Soldiers that had never been to Air Assault and were going to be getting out without ever going. It is not required. With deployments slowing down, there should be time for Soldiers to go, but it is more of a luxury if time permits than a requirement.

Air Assault is not required to be in the 101st, its just preferred.
