Are spud guns legal? (potato cannons)?

I can't find a law against them in my home state (Arizona). Cops took mine 2 years ago. I'm not asking them they will lie to me.

    There are a couple of specific places in Arizona where spud guns are apparently completely legal, as they aren't considered firearms. I would assume that other jurisdictions have different laws, by extension. Your best bet is to ask a lawyer who is familiar with the laws in your area. The state might have no problem with them, but your town might.

    Federal law (ATF) specifically states they are legal

    AZ says they're legal.

    truth is, not all cops know the law.

    just build another one.
