After I complete my first term of service and take a one year break would it be hard to reenlist?

Lets say I complete my term (3 years) and I ETS and take a one year break to see what jobs their are in the civilian world. And decided to come back in would it be hard to reenlist? Would I get to keep my rank? Would I get become a 11B again? I'm 19 now and I just graduated from bravo 2-58 and I haven't got to my unit and started my Army career yet but I'm just thinking about the future. Cause right now my plan is serve my 3 years and see if I can do great s**t an then ETS.

Update:

Would I have to go through infantry OSUT again?

No one can say for sure what it will be like 4-5 years from now, but traditionally it is extremely difficult to re-enlist after a break in service.I've never understood why we do that, but it is the world we live in. For now, concentrate on doing a good job and talk to your re-enlistment NCO when you are about one year out from your ETS date. He can advise you and assist you. Good luck!

nope, right now, it would be next to impossible to come back active duty after a year

Prior service uses a reenlistment slot, so if reenlistments are high - there are simply no slots for you to come back too

the reenlistment rate is at a all time high right now

and with dwell times going to two years - it will probably go higher

    will not happen at all.

no branch takes Prior service once you are out.

and don't think you can go Reserves or Guard and then jump back to AD again later.. that also will not happen.

get through the current contract then decide what to do next.

Yes, it is next to impossible. The only possible routes you could take would be the Guard or Reserve.

That is called "a break in service" and it is frowned on. At least stay in the active reserves.
