Is the full moon a helper or a hindrance to pregnancy?

A friend started in vitro implantation today. I just saw a full moon outside. What do the old wives tales and folklore say about the full moon and its relation to those who are trying to get pregnant?

    Neither.

The theory about the moon affecting your body is that if the moon causes the tides by gravitational pull on water, it must also affect you because you're mainly water. That reasoning is false because - unlike the ocean - your body is a closed system, not an open body of water.

I had a friend who previously became pregnant during the full moon cycle - and by chance, also gave birth during the full moon (wierd, huh?!) The resulting offspring was a lycan, or "werewolf" in lamens terms.
