the last America's got talent episode i saw, the judges voted the top 48 acts. and then i watched the quarter finals where they only had 12 acts, what happened? was there and episode i missed? where did all the other acts go?

They can only fit 12 acts in a two hour show so they will have 12 more next week, 12 more the next week, and 12 more the next week. Which makes the 48.

they are coming next week
and more the following week
they can't fit all of them in one show
