Are there any natural tick repellants for dogs?

I'm hesitant to give my dog those drugs that supposedly keep away fleas and ticks. Are there any natural remedies that work?

Cedar wood essential oil is a great natural flea repellent for your dog or cat. Orange oil is an awesome tick repellant too.

We've always used frontline and it works like a charm. Seriously, my dog never ever has ticks or fleas and is a partial outdoor dog that runs around in tall grass and forests daily. We've never had any problems with frontline and the fact that everyone uses it should prove that it's safe.

I did google natural tick repellants for you, though. I'm just saying that frontline would be the easiest.

That link should cover everything that you want. Garlic is a popular home remedy, but then your dog smells like garlic :s Here's the link to more information on that:

Does your dog or cat suffer from fleas or ticks? How would you like a product that will prevent them and is chemical and toxin free? Go to http://www.petprotector.org/?ID=10589

Pet Protector disc can be used from the first day of your pet's life.

It's important for pet owners who use chemical products to read the label and follow the directions carefully. If the label states that the product is for animals of a certain age or older, don't use the product on pets that are younger. Puppies and kittens are usually too young for chemical products against fleas and ticks.

Pet Protector is non-toxic and contains no chemical elements; therefore it is completely safe for your newborn pet. No need to wash your hands after touching it or to prevent your children playing with their pet.

There are garlic sprays which you will get on the puppy shop that artwork as flea and tick repellent. regrettably they are human repellents as nicely :-). attempt giving your canine garlic oil pills. that's going to be much less stinky yet nevertheless useful.
