How do I fix my subwoofer?
It's humming, sounds poor, and when turned up too much doesn't play music. I replaced the RCA cords but I see no improvement.
When it was in my other vehicle it was fine, but now it doesn't work right. Same setup too!
Tried a different subwoofer and the same thing happened...

Depends. How old are they? Did they blow out? Whatever it's plugged into is there enough watts coming out to the sub?

Could be a bad RCA output on your amplifier, try to find another amplifier to hook up and test. Take a digital multimeter and test the coils on the subwoofer, if they read "0" or some crazy high number then they are blown. If you want to get them reconed or rebuilt, go to http://fixmyspeaker.com/ServiceRequest.php. Hope you can fix it!

Is there any debris in the woofer? If there is then try cleaning it out, dust too. If that doesn't work, then maybe try replacing it or sitting it in an empty space, remove any items around or on top of it. If the doesn't work then ilI don't know what to say. But I hope it helps!
