Why Does Mitt Romney Believe That non-Mormon Christians are the Anti-Christ?
Mitt Romney is a die-hard of a Mormon as they come. Raised in a Mormon "Mayflower" family - connected to the original pioneers who settled Salt Lake, he has an ancestor who was a Mormon Apostle, his Father was a Stake President and frequently entertained prophets and apostles in his home with Mitt present, Mitt is a high priest, a honorably returned missionary, temple worthy, married in the temple, a litter of Mormon kids, full tithe payers, aspires to be the next Romney Apostle - as well as being former Bishop and Stake President - that is being the poster child for Mormonism.
So as a devout Mormon Mitt believes us Christians, who refuse to accept Joseph Smith as a prophet, are anti-christs:
"I have taught for thirty years and still teach that he that believeth in his heart and confesseth with his mouth that Jesus is the Christ and that Joseph Smith is his Prophet to this generation, is of God;
and he that CONFESSETH NOT that Jesus has come in the flesh and SENT JOSEPH SMITH with the fulness of the Gospel to this generation, IS NOT OF GOD, BUT IS ANTI-CHRIST."
Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol 9, P 312.
So Joel Osteen - while you said Mormons can be Christians - Mormons are calling you the anti-christ.
Christians who don't accept Joseph Smith as a Prophet, are not of GOD.
Pretty strong language for a man running for President - a man who is Mormon and hasn't disavowed the wacko practices of Mormonism.
Why Mitt? Why are Christians, who don't accept Joseph Smith, Anti-Christ?
And your heretical, prideful, greedy butt wants the Christian vote?
Brigham Young, Mormon Prophet of God, flagship Mormon indoctrination center, BYU named after the man, Journal of Discourses are Brigham Young "teachings" - but when it is embarrassing, the cult denies their own prophets.
Purpose of the question isn't to deprogram cult member, purpose of the question is to wake up real Christians just how wacky the beliefs of the Mormons really are.

you say so many things that are not true, or that are assumed to be true.
first, mitt romney is not a "die hard" mormon. he might be subject to disciplinary actions for the things he has done in politics that are against the holiness of the lord.
on top of the list, allegedly, are the sin of lying, the first warning flag, for me was when he called polygamy an abomination, but i soon realized that polygamy and plural marriage might be pure semantics.
but, whatever you said against Romney Obama is just as much and in my opinion worse.
to answer the first question, i dont think any mormon (LDS) thinks that any christian is an antichrist. there are many who ARE antimormon, and there are some that fight against zion, zion being the RESTORED church. i believe all christians believe in jesus, its just many fight against the LDS church because they are led astray by false teachers. some of them, might indeed follow satan, in the end those that follow satan are antichrist, again its semantics, and subject to slander and rumor.
as for the remark against joel osteen, there would be no official doctrine found in the LDS church that says mr osteen is antichrist

Mitt Romney didn't say this, Brigham Young did. I really don't have any way of knowing Mitt's beliefs on the subject. Brigham Young is seldom quoted in Sunday School. I don't think I have ever seen that quote before.
I don't mean to be offensive, but I do tend to agree with Brigham on this subject. I don't mean it in the modern sense, but in the same sense that the apostle John meant; he said that there were already many antichrist, and that they came out of the church. I believe the anti-christ thought of themselves as Christian, but believed in several heresies that John and the other apostles fought against. One of these heresies is the impersonal everywhere-present god of the 2nd temple period Jews. Jesus taught of a more personal god, an anthropomorphic god with human attributes; a god that was literally his father. This is more in line with the pre-exilic Israelites of the 1st temple period. They believed that God was an exalted man, and that he had a throne in the heavens, surrounded by numerous concourses of angels. For this reason, he was known as the Lord of Hosts. The one Catholic creed that is adopted by virtually all modern Christians is the creed of the Trinity. The word "trinity" is not found in holy writ, but is a 4th century creed, a heresy that was invented and then established by vote.
John called those sectarians anti-christ because they denied that there was both a literal father and a literal son, holding to the belief of many Jews that God did not have a human form, but was an everywhere present spirit or essense. With great sadness, John mourned the end to the Christian church in his final letters. To me it was obvious, as I read them. The church fell into apostasy in the first century AD, and many plain and precious things were lost.
Do not confuse different religious beliefs with a lack of compassion and respect towards all men. It is his compassion and respect that make him a good choice for president.

Joseph Smith claims he was showed the place by an angel. They were buried in a sort of stone box under a rock in a hill near his house in upstate New York. The hill is now called the Hill Cumorah. This is all you need to know. Flim Flam man starts a Cult.Mitt adheres to this cult. So yes he is .

He's a Mormon. All mormons believe the same as Romney. By the way, take your political questions to the politics section.

I doubt you have ever had a conversation with Mitt Romney about what he believes, unless the little voice in your head is named Mitt Romney.
