What is the best type of brewers yeast to make moonshine?

Brewers yeast is meant for beer because of the flavor. Any yeast can be used for fermentation of anything that will be distilled. You just need to find a place that sells yeast in cakes...get a 50 or 55 gallon barrel cleaned to food grade perfection ..but I do not recommend doing this because it is very illegal and if you don't throw away the 1st and last 10% of the batch you could go blind or die, drinking the moonshine...plus the government will throw you in jail. They need our tax money to get richer than the fat pigs they already are. Best of luck!
