How do I switch my Verizon number to a new unlocked phone without a SIM card?
Is there a way to switch my Verizon number to a new unlocked phone without a SIM card? Does it matter what brand the phone is for me to switch the number? I've changed from one old phone to another old phone that I have had sitting around, but they've always been previous Verizon phones that I knew would work.
Thanks for the help, one more question to clarify... so the way to get a new phone would be to get a used (specifically) Verizon phone?

If it is unlocked it is more than likely a GSM device.
There is no way to make a GSM device work on Verizon's CDMA network.
EDIT:
That is correct.
