Change in Displaying MY.Yahoo portfolio?
All of a sudden today my portfoilio is being shown in alphabetical order instead of the order I desire. This never occurred before. How can I have my.yahoo page return to showing my portfolio in the exact order I desire? The proper order of my stocks is correct when you go to edit so that is not the solution.

Yahoo: please fix the default alpha sort problem! Many - perhaps most - of your users like to have a particular order on the portfolios that show quickly on their homepages. I don't see the benefit to Yahoo on this, unless you think that turning to the Yahoo Finance page gives you significant additional ad revenue. But, please understand what an annoyance it is. And the solution for us is iGoogle, which I'm sure you don't want us deciding to use.
Fellow users: it took me only about 45 minutes to replicate (for the most part) my Yahoo homepage and portfolios on iGoogle. Note that iGoogle says it's going to be eliminated in Nov 2013, but that's more than a year from now. Maybe Yahoo will get this fixed by then. And some replacement for iGoogle is inevitable.

No Fun. My portfolio listing is also alphabetized, without my changing anything. BUT I found if I clicked on the portfolio to see the full details of each line item, THEN the order was the way I left it, in a meaningful way for me.
So until Yahoo offers a fix, just go to the detailed view of the targeted portfolio.
No fun.

I am having the exact same problem. Been trying to fix for days with no solution. Is anyone else having the problem that you can't keep your different portfolios open at the same time on your my.yahoo page? If I expand one portfolio, the other one shrinks. I used to be able to keep them both expanded at the same time... Yahoo, please change this back to how it was!

From Yahoo Customer Care on 7/5/12:
The following changes were made to the Stock Portfolio module on My Yahoo!:
Portfolios are now sorted alphabetically instead of the order you may have chosen on Yahoo! Finance. If you want to see your portfolios in that order, please view them on Yahoo! Finance.
KenB's solution of clicking "on the portfolio to see the full details of each line item" takes you to Yahoo Finance.

Response from Yahoo Customer Service. Please note link to their feedback site. Looking for reasonable alternatives to Yahoo now.
Hello ********,
Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Finance.
I understand you are experiencing one or both of the following issues with your Yahoo! Finance account.
1. Symbols in portfolios are sorted alphabetically.
2. Only one portfolio can be expanded at a time; the other portfolios are collapsed.
I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and have some information to share with you; please read on.

Only one portfolio can be expanded on My Yahoo! at a time (the others collapse when one is expanded)--a change from the previous way of being able to see many at a time. We do not currently have an alternate option for this feature.
We again apologize for any inconvenience this change may have caused and appreciate any feedback you may want to provide. Please provide feedback here:

This is absurd - someone who doesn't give a s__t changes the view that most people want. No wonder Yahoo is going down the tubes. They should try to hire people that care about Customer Service.

Someone must have thought users actually wanted this! Someone who never used the feature themselves most likely.

It worked, we changed it, and we have no intention of changing it back. Got it; feedback sent that that decision sucks.
