HTC cannot be compatible with iTunes music which is under DRM protection. You have to use TuneClone to remove the protection.

iTunes is exclusively Apple-based, If all your music files are downloaded from itunes plus, you can directly sync songs from itunes library to your HTC explorer Phone without problem
However, some iTunes downloaded songs has the DRM protection which avoid customer to transfer them to other incompatible devices(non-ipod device), so if you need to bypass drm first, 2 ways are as follows:
Burn songs on iTunes
1.Create an iTunes playlist containing the purchased DRM protected songs.
2.Insert a blank CD-R or a CD-RW into your computer's hard drive.
3. Burn the playlist to disk with iTunes.
4. Rip the burned CD to get DRM-free songs.
Another option would be to turn to software that automatically converts your iTunes purchases to MP3. An app called DRM Converter does this quickly, it support batch conversion that can convert protected itunes Music Video files to HTC Phone for playback without quality loss. you may check it here:

Try using Windows media player or try
You can sync audio files in these formats: *.aac, *.amr, *.m4a, *.mid, *.midi, *.mp3, *.wav, *.wma
On the Device panel, click Music, and then click the On button. Turning Music sync on means you want this category included every time you sync your computer and HTC Explorer.
Select Sync music files from, and then click Add.
Choose a folder that contains your audio files, and then click OK.
Select Sync music files from iTunes and Windows Media Player if you're using either of these software on your computer, and then choose the playlists you want to sync on HTC Explorer.

To play DRM protected iTunes music on a non-Apple MP3 player or phone, you need to convert the iTunes music to MP3 files first. The easiest way is to burn an audio CD in iTunes and rip it back as MP3. Or you can get DRM media converter to help you. It works great for removing DRM from iTunes music and converting iTunes music to mp3.
