Does Wen hair care shampoo work?

I have damaged hair and it will not grow long like I want it to. I would also like it to be thicker and healthier. Does it work, and what is the price?

Hair products are meant for cleaning, conditioning, it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GROWING. That's what eating food comes in.

Wen uses about 26 squirts, that's like half the bottle, so you can buy more. Another money making propaganda. Example one user about WEN: "I got thick curly hair and tried the layer thing and it just made my hair look bigger. I tried thining it out and I just ended up with even bigger hair. I also tried heavy duty leave in moisturizer to weigh it down to no avail. Even spent $60 on Wen and that just dried my hair out as well as olive oil and coconut oil just dries it out really bad. I gave up and I just let it grow out longer and most of the time I keep it pinned up."

My DIL uses that, but it looked like she used Samy found at Rite-Aid or Walgreens and I've seen result of Samy also. . . or I wouldn't be recommending products here, since I don't get credits for doing that.

Example from one from a YAHOO responder: "Just a warning: I got wen hair care last year, since my hair is frizzy and poofy naturally.

IT DID NOTHING. I followed all the instructions for about 3 weeks, and it had no effect. Your hair may be different, but I just thought I'd warn you."

If I bottle all my tips & suggestions and charge people $45 each, would people buy it? Of course not! I'm a nobody, but you get them all FREE ON YA HAIR.

When you wash your hair with one of those nutrient-rich shampoos, most of the nutrients and active ingredients in the product don’t actually end up in your hair, they wind up down the drain… along with all the money you spent on the shampoo.

It is HOW you use to style your hair or what styling tools that damage the hair, and what chemicals you're adding to the hair, not the shampoo.

If you're healthy, & very active, your nails are growing, your hair should be growing RIGHT NOW.

If you want perfection, you NEED PATIENCE.

If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.

Google: "Foods for Healthy Hair" - Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results.

Babies can do that just by drinking their milk.

Growing healthy hair doesn't come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you're in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you're eating healthy foods. But when hair isn't growing as fast, it's because they've been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

WEN (Backwards for 'NEW') is no different from any other product - it will work great for some people, good for some people, So, So, for some people, and not well at all for others. This is due to a number of factors: 1) Not all hair types are the same. 2) Not everyone treats their hair the same. (Blow Drying, Hot Irons, Coloring, Perming) And LASTLY, the most IMPORTANT: not everyone likes their hair to feel/act the same. I like my hair to feel CLEAN, to someone else it would feel Dry, Look Poufy and Under Conditioned. While I might think their hair is too Soft, and unnaturally silky / shiny.

WEN 'Cleansing Conditioner' is NOT a new concept, I have friends that have been using conditioners like VO5®, Suave®, Natures Gate™, Mill Creek™ and others as a hair cleanser since the late 1970's. Also, Hair care companies have made products very similar in the past with mixed success (Fermodyl® Fermo-Caresse™, REVLON® Milk Plus 6™) even CLAIROL® CONDITION™ Beauty Pack Treatment was Recommended as a 'Creme Cleanser' for Extra-Dry and Damaged Hair in the instruction booklet printed in 1958.

    Hope This Helps.

    Good-Luck!!

Well i paid 40$ for the big bottle on the shopping channel, im a big sucker for infomercials, but i gotta say its quite a hassle and you really have to use SO MUCH product to get soft hair (if you dont put enough your hair will dry out). Honestly a product i am much happier with (and my husband loves the results (he actually noticed :P) was with the macadamia hair mask, you can buy it online but i found it at winners (canadian tj Max) for like 20$ and ive had it since december and use it everytime i shower (instead of conditioner and leave it on a few minutes before rincing off)... honestly much better results, dont waste money on wen i was really disapointed in the stuff..

This is a good guide with a step-by-step method to get your hair back http://hairagain.toptips.org/

Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss. It's caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation. There are many factors that can attribute to hair recession or massive hair fall. You can try to regain your full head of healthy hair by following natural methods: they are cheaper, they have no side effect and very often more effective than conventional one.

As said above an interesting guide you can follow to get your hair back and prevent future hair loss without dangerous chemicals and drugs, and without expensive supplements or painful hair transplants is available on this site: http://hairagain.toptips.org/
