Is it just me or it seems like the ufo histeria is being push?

Yes I don't even know why people call it a phenomenon anymore there have been so many witnesses and abductings recorded and proof of their being in co existence with us. Idk why people don't believe in it or whatever sometimes they are jst so superficial and closed minded. But I recon it is because our govermeng hasn't exactly come out and said extraterrestrial found we have proof someone else has been here even oeople that have seen these ufos think what the say was imagination or something else convinced the gov. Wouldn't lie buy that is far from the truth (haha) I don't know what you and others believe but when thousandss of people say they see these unidentified objects ( ufos) they can't all be lies, or mistaken.im sorry but the president says its flares 12,000 or so eye witnesses said it was deff. A type of unidentified air craft.I believe the 12,000 eye witnesses plus flares drop down they dont lower,hover, then dash up again and move in all directions anyways there is too much evidence proving their existence in my OPINION!

Those are good answers except the one that is sure no ET are visiting Earth. I don't think there are any respectable TV channels. The government controls sporadically and ineffectively. Possibly ET is controlling everything, but there is a good chance that there are no ET controlling Earth. Affective government agendas are rare. Most of the sensitive stuff has been moved out of Area 51. I'm a Christian, but that does not cause me to have opinions about ET visiting the Earth. It's been a long time since I thought of the History Channel as "respectable". Discovery seemed headed in the same direction last I checked. Perhaps this has something to do with why I've pretty much stopped watching TV over the last few years.

I accept the possibility of extraterrestrial life, but see no reasonable evidence that it is actually visiting us. The few reported incidents can be explained with the equation below:

You have hypothesized that the "government controls" all that we see on TV. That's hogwash. Are you seriously trying to tell me that there is a government office that controls "The Price is Right"?

The government's interest in television is strictly to license the frequencies at which it is broadcast. That licencing authority is why they can fine broadcasters for violating decency standards when curse words of Janet Jackson's boob gets aired.

They have no authority to dictate the kinds of shows that exist.

There are UFO chaser shows because there is a proven audience for quasi-scientific bullsh*t. Think about it. There are also shows like "Ghost Hunters", "Destination Truth", and "Haunted History" People watch those shows so the producers are encouraged to branch out and develop other similar product.

But hey, according to your logic, the government is in charge of making shows about people stumbling around with night vision cameras looking for poltergeists. How does that make any sense?
