so i couldnt sleep one night and i got onto omegle and i met this girl and we bonded over the common interest one tree hill. and she said she's the same age as me and stuff and asked if we could text. is there any harm in giving her my cell phone number?

Yes. You can find out their location by Google searching their number. Some girl posted a cell number on here once, and I was able to find their city, and I informed them of their mistake.

Of course there is harm due to the fact this person IS a total stranger. It could be anyone just trying to get a young woman's contact info.
BUT, I have also made friendships on omegle and everyone I actually contacted off the site was not a creeper. I added them on social networking though, not through text.

just make sure she is who she says is. also, she can say the same thing about you, cuz you were on Omegle. LOl, but seriously, just be a bit suspicious for legit stuff,if it's green do what you want

It's not really safe…. But if you were on video chat then you could but if it was on chat. Then thats dangerous!!!!
