Australians, is this true...?
Well, i hope to become a doctor, and that is on the SOL list to be applicable for a permanent visa. I heard that immigrants from the UK arent allowed to buy properties in Oz but have to build their own? Is this true? If so the how much would it cost?
I hope to live in perth one day.

Rose, rubbish, if your going over there to stay (permanent), and become a citizen, of course you can buy a property.
Here is a tip for you, if when your applying to move over there as a doctor, and you have placement in like a major rural area, it is looked upon more favorably.

The SOL list changes each year. Doctors will not be on the list for more than another year because there is a tsunami of graduates entering the hospital system next January. So you will have no chance of getting a visa for a doctor if you are not already qualified.
