Wrestling: So....what's your opinion of Chris Benoit....?

First of all I'm not a regular in this section.... I'm mostly in the RHH section but I've always had an interest in wrestling. I'll be honest I haven't been following with a few years besides a few main events but yeah in the last few days or so I've been going over old dvds and videos of matches and ish....so yeah my question. What's your opinion on Chris Benoit??

I'll reserve my opinion on him for the sake of neutrality but I do have honest respect for the guy...I'll leave it at that.

So yeah what's your verdict on him?? Technical abilities...ring abilities/presence...mic presence...storylines, feuds etc...influence and legacy...and of course his demise and death.

You don't have to discuss all the stuff I've mentioned but I'd appreciate and think it would be better if you did...I know I suppose it's somewhat ignorant or wrong to talk about his death but I am particularly interested in the Wrestling's sections opinion on him considering his death and that ish...but yeah if it's no hard task, just go through the aspects of his career and life please and state your opinion of him!!! Anyway ye probably know the dilly

anyway...

Thanks in advance....Peace.

Update:

Edit: My apologies if they're boy grammar/spelling mistakes....it's still a little early over here lol...yeah

    My opinion on Chris Benoit...

I respect, admire, and will always be a Chris Benoit fan. Chris Benoit gave his heart, soul, and tears to the wrestling business. He dedicated and spend more time in a wrestling ring rather than with his family. He wanted to be the best and trained like a beast to achieve that. He went through so much pain while training and was able to get to the top. I think that there were no limits for Chris Benoit; he went through injuries, including a broken neck, because he wanted to give us a five star show. His technical abilities were amazing, to me, he is in the top 5 of the most technical wrestlers in the WWE, ever. He had good presence in the ring; when his music hit, you knew that a classy man was about to put one hell of a match, and simply make anyone he stepped in the ring with look damn good. I would say that he wasn't that charismatic, but his wrestling skills made up his gimmick and character in the business. He took care of business and that's something I remember him for. He had just a number of amazing matches, and I think the best title-change moment EVER is when he became champion at WrestleMania 20.

Moving on to a more personal opinion, I think that sadly his tragedy has affected all he ever accomplished because of the media. Not just that, but in WWE itself. WWE has made it seem like Chris Benoit never existed, like all those historic matches and moment never happened, which makes me sick to my stomach. It is like forbidden to talk about him, which makes me very angry, because no one can erase this legend. To me, he is a legend.

I won't defend his death nor make it seem like he was an angel, but Chris Benoit, due to all those bumps in the head to give US the show of our lives every single week, among with pain killers, steroids, injuries, and bottled up feelings started affecting Benoit in a very negative way. It was too much for him to handle, and to top it off, Eddie Guerrero's death just lead him to a straight depression and anxiety. You could tell how much Benoit loved Guerrero, so his death completely brought him down. His brain just wasn't working right, which led him to the terrific tragedy of him and his family. However, I believe that there is more to it than just Benoit killing his family; the case wasn't investigated further , so that makes me wonder...

Anyway, I think that every time someone mentions Benoit, jackásses with their potty mouths say, "oh, Benoit the roid abuser that killed his family" or "Benoit, he's rotting in hell" or "the child killer" makes me extremely mad. I mean, they are so ignorant that the only thing their little brains is able to say is something like that. They don't spend enough time investigating why things happen, but yet criticize and be ungrateful bástards.

All in all, like I said, I respect Chris Benoit for everything he did for ME, for US, for every single person in the arena or watching him through a screen. Chris Benoit is an inspiration for being a hard worker and always trying to be the best, going through pain to make our jaws drop and say "Holy shít!" That was Chris Benoit.

I miss him. Very much :(

R.I.P. Chris Benoit and his family.

No matter what way you try to approach it, Chris Benoit will always be a touchy subject. He did what he did, thus there will always be people who can look past that to see his career accomplishments, and there will always be people who can't.

And there will always be people who avoid talking about it by changing the subject.

    So...do you like waffles?
