can't get old computer game to install on newer computer- direct x issue?
When I try to run it, a message pops up saying: Sorry, but this program requires Direct/X 5.0 or newer to be installed on a Windows 9x system.
I have Windows 7 now, and used the troubleshoot progam to change settings, but even after downloading versions of Direct X from online, it still won't let me play my game :-(
What do I do?

Option 1. buy a newer game.
Option 2. Reinstall Windows 98 (just kidding)
Option 3. Buy a second hard drive and run Ubuntu on your system and run the program in WINE. (probably will work)
