Ruling question for Magic the Gathering?
Archive Trap is an instant that costs 3UU, but it can be cast for 0 if an opponent searched his/her library this turn. Let's say I have an Archive Trap in the graveyard, and the opponent searches their library. If I use Snapcaster Mage to give the Archive Trap flashback, can I still cast it for 0, or do I have to pay the full casting cost?

117.9a Only one alternative cost can be applied to any one spell as it's being cast. The controller of the spell announces his or her intentions to pay that cost as described in rule 601.2b.
You can't have two alternative costs, and since Snapcaster Mage specifies the mana cost in its ability, it won't work like that.
Now if it were Eternal Witness, and putting it in your hand, you could. Or if you had Yawgmoth's Will.

No. Snapcaster's effect says the Flashback cost is the Spell's mana cost, which is always the cost in the upper-right corner of the card.
