Why do people in trouble by their own doing often say "Everybody makes mistakes." ?

Of course we do. All mistakes, unlike men are not created equal.Neither are frequency or dedication to making the mistake against advice or evidence are equal. Some people are simply satisfied doing what is known to be self destructive. Why then, do they often expect to suppress criticism and avoid accountability when disaster arrives, with "Everybody makes mistakes, nobody is perfect." ?

You're right. Some people who constantly make bad choices, then suffer the consequences of those choices cry "Why me?!" They bring the bad on themselves then take no responsibility for it. They blame God.

Because it's true, everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect.

Because they're stupid. It's like when you point out that Christians who believe in evolutionism are hypocrites, but then people just tell you, "Everyone is a hypocrite."
