Do I need to have a blood count check?

I have a bladder disease, and this past week I developed a bladder infection. I have been peeing dark thick blood for going on five days. It is extremely painful to urinate due to the golf ball size clots that I have the push out of my urethta in order to pass any urine/blood.

My utologist refused to check my blood, saying it was unnessecary. My fiance says my body is cold to the touch, however, I feel very hot. (I am a twenty year old female, if that is at all relevant.)

Golf ball sized clots through a 1cm diameter tube? Really? You know your disease, and should be well read and versed on all aspects of it, this way you can be your own advocate with the medical system.

If something doesn't feel right it usually isn't. You may want to phone up an ER consulting nurse tonight and get their input on your problem. If you might need blood work they would have a way better idea about it..

If I were in your shoes I would phone the urologist right now in the middle of the night and tell them about the golf ball sized clots and dark thick urine. Remember, NO ONE anywhere is looking out for your health or well being, no one except yourself. In the future understand that when at the doctor the squeaky wheel gets the grease and if you demand the appropriate treatments you will get them.

    Best Wishes
