Your Tips for Round 16!!!?

I thought it was time for me to ask one of these questions myself and what a good timing considering thumbs down trend which has gained epidemic proportion. I know i wont get any in this particular situation :). Anyway starting with this Friday's game:

Blues vs Kangas (with inclusion of Murphy and Henderson, I'm tipping Blues by 2 goals)

Bulldogs vs Hawks (Hawks easy. The End.)

Giants vs Crows (Crows easy. See above)

Demons vs Dockers (These two teams have some good matches recently with home team winning on the occasion. I'm tipping Dockers just considering Demons form plus its played at Etihad. It may suit Dockers more than Dees who I guess would prefer to play at MCG).

Tigers vs Suns (Last year Suns managed to roll over the Tigers at the same venue, I reckon if they show up like they did against Cats they will collect 4 points. Therefore I'm tipping Suns in an UPSET. I'm going either do really crap this round or tip well. We shall see)

Swans vs Eagles (Big outs for Eagles, Swans team unchanged. Swans to win by about 2 goals)

Saints vs Lions (Lions lost last two up at the Gabba against Saints, in both matches they were in it till last quarter fade out and managed to lose by 2 goals on both occasions. They've got some big inclusions and therefore I'm tipping Lions to finally beat the Saints)

Power vs Bombers (Port plays well against Bombers and at AAMI Bombers havent won since 2000 or something. Big outs for them as well. Im going to give another chance to Port Power and tip them to roll over the Bombers)

And last

My beloved Cats vs Pies (earlier in the week I was quite confident to tip Cats however with inclusion of two new youngsters who will most likely get stage fright and without Pods/Bartel, as much as I hate to say but I'm going to tip Pies in close encounter. Plus there are about 2,3 milestones played in Pies squad so that might fire them up. I'm secretly hoping that I'm wrong though :))

  • Carlton by 19. They will want to back up an amazing win over Collingwood last week, and will need to win to keep their charge to the finals together.

Fremantle by 43. We all know how Melbourne have been this year, while Fremantle are still a chance to sneak into the finals, and Etihad has proven to be a bit of a curse for Melbourne.

Port Adelaide by 12. Should be a good game, and Port usually match up well against Essendon, whom they haven't lost to at AAMI Stadium since 2000. Essendon have improved their inter-state record recently and will be looking to break this AAMI Stadium hoodoo. But they have been hit hard with injuries, losing Ryder, Hocking and Hurley, and if you add Zaharakis to that list, they don't have much of a forward line now. Also, Port still owe them for Round 23 last season.

Richmond by 30. Gold Coast are win-less this season and I don't see them beating Richmond this week. They did beat Richmond at the same venue last year, however!

Geelong by 7. Should be game of the round, massive crowd at the MCG, and I think Geelong will be looking to build a bit of a winning streak heading into the finals, and Collingwood will be a massive scalp for them along the way.

Brisbane by 6. Another good game, Saints have been a bit inconsistent this year and Brisbane have improved a fair bit. I'll give the Lions the home-ground advantage here.

Adelaide by 60. They stated that they won't take the Giants lightly and should win very easily.

Hawthorn by 46. Premiership contender in the Hawks and Bulldogs have struggled this year. Easy win for Hawthorn.

West Coast by 5. Actually, this could beat Geelong vs Colling for MOTR honors. I hope this game is like these two teams rivalry they had back in 2005 and 2006. Brilliant to watch from a neutral perspective!

Don't be so negative Mick, thumbs down is irritating, especially when you are giving legitimate answers. You just have to ignore it...

Blues v North...Blues the big improver, plus last weeks encounter would have taken a lot out of the Roos....I'm fairly confident, Blues.

    Dogs v Hawks...no problem there..

Giants v Crows...Crows are a top outfit...they should win easily.

Dees v Dockers...don't like the Dockers away...I'll gamble on the Demons..

Tigs v Suns...tigers simply have to have this...it will be a hard slog..but they should win it.

Swans v Eagles...I'm going against the grain...Eagles at home..

Saints v Lions...Lions have improved enough to take the game in favorable conditions..

Port v Bombers...I thought we won it last year coming from 8 goals down...I've vowed to tip the Dons all year.

Cats v Pies...funny the Cats have won the last 3 encounters...but this time the hated Pies should get on top...

EDIT: You notice some idiot gives thumbs down to all the answers...

    Closest contests to easiest contest:

Cats d Pies (absolute line ball)

    St Kilda d Brisbane (ditto)

    Carl d North (ditto)

    Swans d WCE - (ditto)

    Freo d Melb

    Hawthorn d Bulldags

    Ess d Port

    Rich d GCS

    Adel d GWS

Bartel missing from the Cats is a negative but Wellingham is gone and I suspect Daisy might not play either and look for Pendles to be another late withdrawal. I wouldn't be surprised to see some chopping changes later today - it's called 'ducks and drakes'. Cats have won five of their last six since last playing the Pies and lost one at the death by a goal. In that time their premiership odds have slipped from $8.00 to $17 and their minor premiership odds now sit at $251 despite being 2 games away from top spot. I'm hoping you're wrong too.

Ah Kangas of course ... lol, nah, tbh I tipped Carlton by six.

Hawks should get up, though Bulldogs could be competitive.

    Crows will dominate this one.

    Dockers.

    Ooh ... Tigers.

    Geez ... Swans.

    LIONS

    Bombers

    Pies.
