Can a hedgehog and a chinchilla live together?
I'm building a cage for my chinchilla because I think that a three story house is just too small for her. The cage will be six feet tall by four feet wide by two feet deep. I've always wanted a hedgehog for as long as I can remember and I feel like a chinchilla needs a companion to be happy. I had another chinchilla but she was really mean to the one I still have so I gave her away. Can a hedgehog and a chinchilla live happily together in a cage of this size?
Thanks for answers!

No! They must be housed separately. Two animals of different species should NOT be housed together. Some dim bulb had the bright idea to house a hedgehog and a guinea pig together, and the pig gnawed all the quills off the poor hedgehog! Do not house a hedgehog with another hedgehog, much less a chinchilla, rabbit, guinea pig, or any other caged animal!

No..they opt for to be thoroughly separated. Chinchilla's eat a quite some nutrition regimen and require a quite some ecosystem to stay in (they prefer a lot cooler temperature's). Hedgehogs opt for a lot hotter temps. in case you position them interior of the same cage or residing area, there might want to be no thanks to administration the temperature to make each and each animal delicate. yet another further aspect is hedgehogs are solitary and tend to be territorial, the position as Chinchilla's were known to stay mutually.
