The power went out at my house so I don't have any A/C right now. I'm hoping that it doesn't last very long but some friends of mine haven't had power for a week! I have a marble slab and a battery-powered fan turned on them but I'm still afraid they won't be cool enough. It has to be 80+ degrees F, at least, during the day. How can I keep them from getting too hot??

I'm building a cage for my chinchilla because I think that a three story house is just too small for her. The cage will be six feet tall by four feet wide by two feet deep. I've always wanted a hedgehog for as long as I can remember and I feel like a chinchilla needs a companion to be happy. I had another chinchilla but she was really mean to the one I still have so I gave her away. Can a hedgehog and a chinchilla live happily together in a cage of this size?

I am taking in two orphaned Nubian goats. They are twins, were born last Saturday, and their mom died the day after they were born. They were going to be sent to meat because the owner didn't want to care for them so I am taking them in. I don't have a nanny goat to be a surrogate so I have to bottle feed. What type of formula should I use and what kinds of places can I get it from? Thank you!

I have many animals and a lot of work to do (we run a horse boarding stable with 25+ horses, I have three of my own that I pay for, one dog, and several cats) so it can't be somewhere too far from home so I was hoping that there was a good online school that would allow me to get my degree in not too much time? My miniature horse weanling has yellowish goopy eyes and no matter how many times I clean them or apply the ointment from the vet, it doesn't seem to help. He does not have any other symptoms, doesn't appear to have allergies, the flies aren't very bad right now, and yet they still get really gross. His eyes tear up and he'll just have gobs of the goop at the corners of his eyes. He's only about three and a half months old, which is why I'm so worried about it. Anyone have the same (or similar) problem?

My morab is a terrible cribber and currently has a cribbing collar but it rubs his jaw and makes it bleed. It makes me feel horrible to put it on but it's necessary because he colics pretty badly and he barely has any front teeth now. He has a huge underbite with top teeth like a two year-old, though he is sixteen. I was thinking of getting him a muzzle to leave on when he's not eating or when he's outside and take it off when he does eat. I feel like this is cruel, though. Anyone have any suggestions? If this keeps up, he won't have any top teeth left and will be gumming everything by the time he is twenty. Please help!

I got it set up in the ICE table like this:

I 0.1150 0.170 0

E 0.1150-x 0.170-x x

And I have the formula as:

255 = x / ((0.1150-x)(0.170-x))

But this is where I run into problems. For some reason, no matter what I do, I always get the wrong answer. Can someone figure this through step-by-step please?
