Canon Rebel XS or Canon Rebel T3?

I have the Nikon D3000 and I want to switch to a canon and I was wondering which one (in your opinion) is better- Canon rebel xs or canon rebel t3?

Switching from Nikon to Canon would be a complete waste of money... buying a new camera won't make your pictures any better.

The XS was replaced by the T3, so the answer should be obvious.

    Keep your 3000.

Well I don't think that's true. The XS and T3 are still available all over the web.

I own an XS, it's an excellent camera but it doesn't do video... the t3 does 720 HD video and is also an excellent camera.

So based on that, what would you choose.

You'd be better to go for a D3100/D3200 if you want more capability, rather than changing systems.

If you're getting lousy results with a D3000, you'll get equally lousy results with an XS and lousy results, Live View and Video with a T3.

If your camera works but gives you terrible pictures, it's not the camera's fault.

If you want video then it has to be the T3. The XS is stills only.

Contributor "Taylor" is right. Switching cameras will not improve your print quality. Two things contribute to print quality. 1. Always shoot at the highest resolution possible. 2. Use low ISO numbers like ISO 200 and below. PLUS you cannot tell anything from 4x6 prints. Enlarge a few up to 11x14 (about $4.00 each) and watch your quality improve!

    Good Luck!
