It isn't hard at all, but you must first be a Security Forces member.
Security Forces training is close to 3 months long, and consists of firearms training, field training (light infantry tactics), and law enforcement training. From there, you must complete your career development courses at your first base (which can take up to 5-6 months). After completing those, you are open to crosstrain into K9 or Combat Arms Training and Maintenance.

it is not an entry level position, so you must first be Security Forces then request the school. it may or may not ever be an option based on the needs of the AF
