How to cover my name in my text book before selling without doing too much damage?
I want to sell on my old Physics text books, however on the inner cover of the books, I've got my name, plus my mobile number, for in case I lost it. What would be the best way to cover this up without destroying the page too much? I was thinking of going over it with black texta, but I'm not sure if that'll seep through to the other side of the page..
Any other ideas to cover up my name and number so it can't be read?
Unfortunately I don't have any white out, or tipp-ex as the first answerer called it..

I saw a TV show on check-washing, in which criminals dissolve the ink on real checks to change who they're made out to, alter the amount, etc.
They used common solvents like rubbing alcohol to dissolve the ink. Experiment with a tiny amount on a cotton swab and see if it turns the color of the ink. If it does, it's dissolving the ink. Careful use might lighten it enough.

You might try using a piece of cello tape to cover the mentioned area - press down and rub it into the ink, then quickly pull off the tape - hopefully removing some of the print as you go. You might have to do this a few times. It can rip the page or make things worse so use caution or try it first on some printed material that is expendable.
