  • Can I mount a 40" TV on a wall bracket that says up to 37", if it's under the weight?

My TV weighs a touch over 10kg, and the bracket says it holds up to 30kg. Am I able to use it to mount my TV, even though its screen is bigger than advised?

    This is the bracket:

  • Can I change the Windows 7 right click 'Send To' so it moves files instead of copying?

Is it possible to change the way the Send To function in the right click menu works, and have it actually move files, instead of copying them?

  • What movie is the intro/outro music of Sleepy Hollow from?

I've been watching the new tv show Sleepy Hollow. I recognize the music that's played in the intro and outro but I can't for the life of me figure out what from.. I'm pretty sure it plays in the credits to a horror movie (as it's perfect for that kind of thing).

Anyways it's really bugging me hearing it all the time, and thinking it's from something else, so would really like some help!

    Thanks

  • Default password for D-Link DSL-2750B?

In the booklet that I got with the modem/router, it tells me that the default login details are admin/admin. However, they are not correct.. Does anyone know what the real login details are? I can't type the username, I can only choose between 'admin' or 'user', so it's just getting the password right.

I've tried 'password', 'adminadmin', 'admin.', and 'password123', but none of those work..

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've just pulled this out of the box, and that's as far as I can get with it :/. (I bought this brand new from Harvey Norman)

  • Is Google Adsense working for anyone?

When trying to access google adsense in Chrome, all I can do is look at a blank page, or switch to the low bandwidth version, and see the mobile version of the site, which doesn't actually show anything.

Is this happening with other people? Or is it just me? As I said, it only happens in Chrome. I can view it fine in Opera..

    Thanks

  • Can I use a spare computer PSU to power my external drives?

I have a computer PSU that I've bought for powering 12v things like lights or anything else I can find. Would it be safe to use this to power my Seagate 2TB External hard drives? I'm pretty sure they run off 12V, and the power from a computer PSU is usually pretty clean isn't it?

Obviously the reason for doing this would be to get rid of the huge power bricks plugged into power boards taking up more than one space.

  • Is holding myself up on a chin up bar for ~15 seconds a decent substitute for actual chin ups?

I struggle to do any more than 3 chin ups at a time, so I was wondering if doing a stationary hold, with my arms at 90 degrees, would help to increase my bicep strength until I am able to do more chin up reps?

  • Why is my laptop webcam so much better than any external one I can find?

The webcam on my Satellite A500 is a 1.3MP Chicony one.. I've purchased a couple of webcams off ebay, one 5MP, and the other around the same, but neither of them look anywhere near as good as the tiny laptop one? They're very poor in low light, the field of view is much narrower, and they're basically terrible in comparison.. is there a reason why a laptop webcam is so much better?

  • Can I take apart a USB2 external drive and replace with USB3 sata connection?

I have a 2TB USB2.0 external hard drive, and I would like to swap the sata interface to a USB 3 if possible? I was thinking of just taking the case apart, disconnecting the drive from the original sata to usb interface, and replacing it with a sata to usb3 interface (in a new case most likely).

Would this give me USB 3 speeds?

(yes, I do have USB 3 ports on my computer, so no silly comments mentioning that as a requirement)

  • Is it common for files downloaded in Chrome to be much slower?

I don't mean webpages, but files. When I use DownloadThemAll through Firefox, I can download up to 1.4mb/s, however, when downloading through Chrome, using Chromes 'download manager', it's only coming down at ~600kb/s.. Is this a common issue for Chrome?

    Thanks

  • How to import my Facebook Page's photo's to my website?

I would like to be able to display photo's that I upload to my Facebook Page on my website. I've found a script called Fotobook that will allow me to import my profiles photo's to a wordpress site, however I want to get access to the Page that I am admin of.

Is there anything already created that anyone knows of?

Please note, it doesn't have to work with wordpress, I just want to see if any script for anything has been created, and I will adapt to that.

    Thanks

  • I'm looking for home improvement/renovation type TV shows?

For some reason I'm really wanting to watch home improvement type TV shows, but it's hard to find anything online, yet alone where to watch them.. If I knew titles of current shows then it could make it a little easier..

I'm after stuff like a 'team' of people doing renovations to a room, doing landscaping etc. There was one called Hollywood Hi Tech (I think), but that doesn't seem to be on anymore.. Another example is shows that we have in Australia like Renovation Rescue, older ones like Backyard Blitz or Domestic Blitz etc.

  • How to cover my name in my text book before selling without doing too much damage?

I want to sell on my old Physics text books, however on the inner cover of the books, I've got my name, plus my mobile number, for in case I lost it. What would be the best way to cover this up without destroying the page too much? I was thinking of going over it with black texta, but I'm not sure if that'll seep through to the other side of the page..

Any other ideas to cover up my name and number so it can't be read?

  • How to 'future proof' storage of movies on external drives?

I'm getting close to the point where I'll need to purchase a third large external hard drive for storing movies. Having movies strewn across multiple external drives isn't exactly efficient, so I was wondering what other people do to future proof their collection so they can easily search all the movies, or easily expand the storage capabilities? I know of things like the Drobo, but that's not exactly something in my price range. I'm looking for something easy and cheap, hopefully taking advantage of the external drives I already have.

  • My Rinnai 2001 Gas heater keeps turning off after only a few minutes?

After it turns off, I'm able to turn it back on again pretty much right away (well as soon as I notice that it's gone out), but it's really annoying to have to keep an eye on it.. is there anything that could be the cause?

At the moment, the whole front of the heater has been taken off, so there isn't an issue with air flow through the vents. The glass over the heater part is broken though, so not sure if that affects anything..

  • Type of glass cover in Rinnai 2001 heater?

The glass cover on my heater got broken over the summer, and now I'm not sure if I can use my heater without it.. I would like to know what kind of glass is used, if it's something special to be heat resistant, or if it's just normal glass?

    Thanks

  • Why is the gain in capacity of a D or C battery over a AA so little?

I've been looking at AA's to power my next project, and the typical Energizer AA rechargeable offers between 2300mAh up to some that I've seen with 2450mAh. I thought that moving up to a C or D battery would increase the current availability significantly, however for the Energizer in the same product line, both the C and D batteries are only 2500mAh...

Why is the increase so little for such a significant change in size?

  • What's the best way to use a computer keyboard as an input device for an Arduino, through the computer?

I would like to control my Arduino using my computer and keyboard, but not entirely sure how to do this, and whether I need to write software on the computer for the communication to happen?

So in a very basic sense, I would like to press a key on my keyboard, and the Arduino will then turn on the corresponding LED for that key in a separate circuit to the keyboard.

    Thanks

  • The reading on my multimeter is 0.17 when the dial is set to (DCA) 10A and 20m(A).. What is the reading?

Having it set to 10A, I thought this would mean that it's 170mA, but on the setting for 20m(A), the reason of .17 means 17mA? I'm getting so confused over something so simple.. Please help..
