Is it common for files downloaded in Chrome to be much slower?
I don't mean webpages, but files. When I use DownloadThemAll through Firefox, I can download up to 1.4mb/s, however, when downloading through Chrome, using Chromes 'download manager', it's only coming down at ~600kb/s.. Is this a common issue for Chrome?

I tested download of 15MB file i found that both browser speed is same(just a bit difference).
1) You can try to update chrome version.
2) Remove unused extensions,apps from chrome. Also delete all cookies, history from chrome.
3) Try cc cleaner to delete temporary files that loaded chrome.
4) If above couldn't solve problem try third party download manager.

not at all..chrome is very fast..may be u can do an update of chrome which may fix the prob..or use orbit download manager which is the best free manager..the good thing is u can even restart from the point upto which u downloaded in the last session unlike browser's download managers.
