would my hair look stupid with hair extensions?
my hair comes down to about the top of my armpits (weird length description I know) at it's longest length. I have layered hair and my shortest layer is about to the length of my chin, the other layer is about shoulder length. Would hair extensions blend into layered hair?

Your stylist will blend extensions into your hair. So if you have layers she will just layer the extensions to match.

yes! omg yes! your hair is the perfect length. maybe try clip-in hair extensions from ebay to see if you like the look of them, then see a hairdresser about blending them in , or getting "proper" ones :)
